Mike Phillips, class 10 member, has arranged an exclusive tour of the current baseball exhibit and a presentation by San Fransisco Chronicle sportswriter John Shea. The museum will open exclusively for this Scottsdale Leadership event. After the event you’re invited to stroll across the grass to The Backdoor restaurant and join your alumni friends for drinks and conversation.
The exhibit is the latest produced by the Arizona Baseball Legacy and Experience an organization dedicated to preserving the history of baseball in Arizona. The exhibit is entitled “Legends, All Stars and Rogues – The Rich Legacy of Scottsdale Spring Training.” Mike will explain more about the organization.
Speaker John Shea is the author of five baseball books, including the New York Times bestseller with Willie Mays “24: Life Stories and Lessons from the Say Hey Kid” and Rickey Henderson’s autobiography, “Off Base: Confessions of a Thief.”
Our thanks to Mike Phillips, Don Hadder, and Jason Song.
