Program Commitment

Leadership Learning through Commitment

Candidates should carefully consider the significance and importance of the time commitment to the leadership program as class members are expected to attend all mandatory program days and must attend a total of 13 class days in order to graduate. Additional time is required for project work, special events, and attendance at a Scottsdale city council meeting.

Class days are usually every other Friday from September to May and are held from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Informal networking opportunities are planned by class members following each class day and allow for continued and fun relationship-building within the class! Class members will be invited to special events and gatherings to allow for enhanced connectivity and engagement. This is a great way for them to meet community leaders and our incredible alumni group! Class members are richly diverse in background and experience and every opportunity for interaction enhances all that is learned from the program.

Tuition and Scholarships

The tuition for attending as a selected class member of the Scottsdale Leadership Development Program is $3,300 and is non-refundable. If chosen to participate in the program, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 15 days of acceptance, in order to secure your place in the class. The remaining $2,800 may be split into two payments, $1,400 each, payable on August 15th and September 15th – the month that the leadership program for which you are enrolled begins.

We offer scholarships and monthly payments to help accommodate class members’ financial needs. Applying for a scholarship does not impact an applicant’s chances of being accepted. Tuition covers only a portion of the Program’s actual cost. Scottsdale Leadership depends on contributions from partnering businesses and community organizations to fund the leadership program.
